Cute kids are always touring City Hall. The place is infested with them. If they’re not staging traditional Irish dances, they’re presenting the city commissioners with thank you cards or wandering through the city council chambers in awe.

But the kids I overheard on a tour of the building recently had their priorities in the right places.
“What’s under that?!” asked one of the elementary school kids, pointing to the large maroon pillow whose function I’ve always wondered about myself.
“Is there a hot tub under it?!” asked another.

Alas, no. Get used to bitter disappointment, kids.

  1. I wish there was someone who had training in asking people questions, who could possibly inquire into the use of the previously mention maroon pillow. Does anyone know of someone who fits that description?

  2. No one is going to make the obvious joke? Where is Blabby when you need him?

    OK I’ll do it…

I heard they are going to turn the second floor mens restroom into a Turkish-style bathhouse.
