The WW writes that Adams will announce later today that he’ll be staying on the job, and will not resign.

UPDATE: Commissioner Randy Leonard tells WW in regards to Adams’ intention to stay on the job: “I can’t believe what has happened in the last six days. Sam seems detached from reality.” OUCH.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. There will be recall election, which Sam will lose by at least 5% (rationale, it’s an up or down vote, no lousy candidates to vote against).

Then there will be another election for Mayor with two or three viable candidates and a slew of publicly financed also rans.

This will cost the City north of two million dollars, not to mention all the wasted productivity while Sam tries to save his lizard skin.

GO BYE STREETCAR. Or take a fucking bus. Just Go.
