Meet Nick Thune, who looks like he lives in Portland. But no, he’s an LA guy (Silverlake wishes they were Portland, but are too vain to let go of that false sense of Hollywood importance). Thune’s done work with Mr. Show and appeared in Knocked Up amongst others. For more on the up and coming comic, check out this Onion AV Club interview. But I suppose what really matters at this point are the jokesโnot the history.
(NSFW) Masturbation Story:
A bit of standup. Don’t worry, Thune doesn’t sing funny songs. He uses the guitar for backing music a la Zach Galifianakis’ piano (holy crapโI spelled Galifianakis right the first time):

Ugh. You know when someone wasn’t a hipster before and then you see them years down the road and they TOTALLY are (which is certainly the case with many many people but some are just less offensive) and it makes you go “ugh” like I just did?
That’s how I feel about this guy. He’s from Bellevue, Wash and the joke-telling over instrument-playing has run its course, in my opinion.
Also, to say someone’s “done work with Mr. Show” is weird. He’s done work with people who worked on Mr. Show, right? It doesn’t really make sense AND it taints Mr. Show’s legacy.
