It’s more 9/11. And so it seems the lads at Comedy is OK have finally lost their minds. Which I couldn’t be happier about. Bring on this new controversial wrinkle, I say. Grow it like a freak in the basement. Name him Sloth.
Alongside the usual cadre of video shorts and stand up sets, this month’s edition features two of Portland’s absolute top comics, Ian Karmel and Ron Funches, in a live skit called “Fat White Friend, Fat Black Friend.” I got a good feeling. Also on board are the already well-twisted Christian Ricketts and Kevin-Michael Moore.
TONIGHT: Comedy is OK @ Clinton St. Theater – 9PM – $5 – 21+

I don’t know about their press release but, having attended the last two months, I highly recommend going. They’ve had solid stand-up and a good mix of videos, music, etc, with an audience lubricated by free vodka! Good times!
This is some of the laziest provocation I’ve ever seen.
Every so often I think about putting aside my bias against comedy clubs (and their patrons) and checking out the scene, and then something like this reliably pops up and reminds me that my strategy of simply waiting for the cream to rise to the top is the correct one.
