This feels curiously familiar, except this time there’s a $50 price tag attached: It was just announced that Dave Chapelle is performing a show tomorrow night in Portland at the Newmark Theater, at 10:30 pm. Tickets go on sale at 5 pm today.

Tickest will be on sale through Livenation.com, Ticketswest, or at any PCPA box office. This is so last-minute and huge I almost didn’t believe the press release, but the venue confirms it, and PCPA says they’ll have a link to buy tickets on their site soon.

Alison Hallett served nobly as the Mercury's arts editor from 2008-2014. Her proud legacy lives on.

  1. It’s after 5pm and I still don’t see links to where to buy tickets on any of the site you mentioned.
    Anyone else find them?

  2. This works! Pit seats available for $62.50 total each. RT @LocalCut: Confirmed Chappelle tix being sold through PCPA. 503 946 7272. Web is shadier for some reason…

  3. Is this another Real World fake story? No tours anywhere in 3 years and he pops up in PDX last minute? Should I camp out in Pioneer Square tonight just in case?

  4. I dunno, all I’ve heard is middling things about his stand-up lately. Recent videos of his performances just show him kind of rambling and not really into it. Not sure if it’s worth $50 to find out.

  5. From what I’ve heard its going to be funny as hell or a fucking hours long excruciating trainwreck. There is no in between.
