Is “Black Wednesday” actually a thing? A few local comic book stores have decided it is—Floating World and Cosmic Monkey didn’t get their regular Wednesday comics shipments in, so to keep the furious nerds at bay (note: I PARAPHRASE) they’re starting their Black Friday sales a few days early:

Cosmic Monkey:“Black Wednesday through Sunday sale,” 50% off back issues, 25% off most everything else

Floating World: “Black Wednesday & Friday sale”: 20% off everything; 50% off some stuff including all used sets.

Bridge City and Things from Another World are having Black Friday sales too:

On Friday morning, Bridge City Comics has ensured themselves crowd of sleepy, flatulent, and hungover customers (…), with staggered discounts starting earlyish:

10am – 11am: 40% off everything
11am – 12pm: 35% off everything
12pm – 1pm: 30% off everything
1pm – 2pm: 25% off everything
2pm – 3pm: 20% off everything
3pm – 8pm: 10% off everything

And TFAW is holding instore sales on Fri-Sun (buy 3 get 1 free graphic novels, loads of stuff at 50% off) plus online discounts through Monday, including 60% off their already cheap-as-hell nick and dent stock—read more about that here.
