Let it hereby be known that I, Mercury Senior Editor Erik Henriksen, and my esteemed colleague, Mercury Music Editor Ned Lannamann, have made a GENTLEMAN'S WAGER.

The wager, in question, shall be settled on the 10th of January, 2013, when the nominations for the 85th Annual Academy Awards are announced.

THE SUBJECT OF THE WAGER
A devoted aficionado of all things 007, Mr. Lannamann believes that Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film, will be nominated for Best Picture. I do not. As of now, the time of this gentleman's wager, neither of us has seen Skyfall.

WHAT IS BEING WAGED, IN ADDITION TO OUR HONOR
