Here’s what the RecallSam.com people and Victoria Taft (Hi, Victoria!) don’t seem to get: The lies Mayor Sam Adams told were largely inspired by a society who frowns upon any kind of relationship that isn’t classified as “normal.” I believe that if these people could actually see what Sam and Beau’s relationship was like, they might have a more open-minded perspective.

And it is with this in mind that The Mercury Dept. of Dramatic Recreations would like to present, “Sam and Beau: A Love Story.”

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

Oh, this is OUR fault. Society, we should be ashamed! Forcing this grown man to repeatedly tell boldfaced lies. I can clearly see now that HE’S the victim here.

  2. HELL… after 8 solid years of LIES from the Bush Crime Family and people are upset over a politician (not)telling the truth? What a mockery! Justice went down the toilet when Bush was allowed to lie …and now the (same crowd) who looked the other way for eight years ( and defended him [read G.Taft} is yelling “foul” …Ha ..Whatever.
When Lying about WMD’s causes actually “nothing to rectify it by society and the media shills” why would kissing a 17 year old cause me any concern. Shit I’m to busy laughing about the republicans crying about their double standards. Hell Bush & Cheney lied …yet where are these crybabies when a real crime has been committed. Ha! (talk about a double standard)
