This nonprofit’s got it figured out: Green Drinks (a “volunteer-driven group created to connect and grow Portland’s environmental community”) hosts short lectures at classy joints around town, luring in potential activists to learn about saving the planet while they get their drink on. This month’s conscientious cocktail party will be Tuesday, March 6, from 6:30 to 9 pm at none other than SE Portland’s Olympic Provisions (107 SE Washington St). In addition to hosting sponsor Green Savers for the evening, charcuterie masters OP will be offering happy hour prices, appetizers and a limited menu for purchase. Learn something about conservation, chat with other people who care, and try the sopressata if you haven’t already. Seriously, it’s fantastic.
- olympic provisions
- do the right thing

THERE’D BETTER BE A HOSTED BAR, OTHERWISE THIS EVENT IS A HORRIBLE IDEA.
There are people ‘who care’ and then there’s Portland – people who just go around talking about how much they ‘care’
D: when you do depart for one of these fabled other places where people actually care?
Seriously? An event about conservation and saving the world is serving meat? It might be less hypocritical to have future events at places that serve vegan food.
SHUT UP, VEGAN!
The first step in establishing a socially responsible atmosphere needs to be finding a venue that doesn’t serve butchered animals. Green Drinks fail.
I’m going to go ahead and state what everyone else in this city is too afraid to say: Charcuterie plates are gross.
@7 and I am going to go ahead and agree with you! And yes, I do eat meat, cheese etc
@4…you have a point. @D….don’t worry about him, he wants everyone who doesn’t agree with him and share the exact same taste’s to leave town. I wonder if he is even from here.
