This is crystallized whiskey as seen through a standard microscope at 1,000x magnification. It’s a product of a company called Bevshots, which sells prints of magnified booze and cocktails. I always knew my drunk was just as beautiful on a microscopic level.
Buy a print of your Dad’s favorite beverage for father’s day! I bet he doesn’t have one of those!

Okay, I just googled the phrase “crystallized whiskey” and the top result was this Blogtown post. Did you just make it up? How do you crystallize whiskey?

What do I look like? A scientist? From the Bevhots website:
BevShot images are made by first crystallizing the drink of choice on a lab slide. Using a standard light microscope with a camera attached, the light source is polarized and passed through the crystal. This creates the magnificent colors we see in our favorite drinks featured on this site.
It’s really crystallized meth-amphetamine.
The truth comes out! I call refraction shenanigans! Sure, when you crystallize it you get that electric boogaloo up there. But I bet if you look at regular old whiskey under an electron microscope, you can see a million tiny bad decisions.
