From NYT’s The Caucus:
In interviews as they walked out of the polls, 37 percent of voters said that one reason for their vote was to express opposition to Mr. Obama. That is 13 percent higher than the number who said their vote was an expression of support for the president. And as noted by Dalia Sussman, polling editor, it’s hardly different from the numbers in 2006, when anger at President George W. Bush and the war in Iraq motivated more voters, by a margin of 14 percent, to say their vote was a protest against Mr. Bush.
Soooo… who to blame? Dumb voters or dumb Obama for cutting himself off from the voters, and failing to articulate what he’s actually accomplished?

BOTH
And why do you think people would want to express opposition to Obama? Is it because he’s half black? Is it because he’s a “secret muslim”? Is it because he’s misunderstood? Or is it because his administration was stuffed with bankers, lobbyists, and CFR members…is it because his administration has expanded the wars and started a new one in Pakistan…or is it because he’s kept the Guantanamo torture prison wide open…renewed the Patriot act….renewed Black Waters contracts to operate as private mercenaries…pocket vetoed a bill that would ban the the megabanks from foreclosing on homes they didn’t have the deed for….or given the private, for-profit Federal Reserve dictatorial oversight over the banking system….and on….and on…and on….
and yes, the Republicans are just as bad. That’s the point. Left, right, the two wings of a single minded bird of prey.
I BLAME MYSELF
‘Accomplished?’ Is that what you call our economic evolution in the past four years of Democrat legislation? How are those Mercury payrolls and healthcare plans working out for you?
I accuse my parents.
All of this has just go to, somehow, be Nader’s fault.
