This morning, Mitt Romney’s traveling press secretary Rick Gorka* lost his shit on reporters who dared to ask Romney a question at a press event. When a reporter from the New York Times tried to explain that the press corps has only been allowed to ask Romney three questions in his three-country tour, Gorka really lost his shit:
Gorka: “Show some respect”
NYT: “We haven’t had another chance to ask a question…”
Gorka: “Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect.”
The weird thing is, a surprisingly high number of people on Twitter and in comments are siding with Gorka on this. Let me provide some context: When you’re in the traveling press corps and you’re stationed at a press event, the assumption is that you’ll have some access to the candidate. Romney gave several blowjob interviews to the major networks during this trip (even though Romney fucked up the Brian Williams interview that launched his D-Day in London, that was still a blowjob interview) but he has basically used the traveling press corps on this trip as a prop, to make him look like an important man with a bunch of well-dressed people in tow.
I don’t blame them for asking Romney questions when they thought they had a chance to get some access. If he hosted regular press conferences like a normal presidential candidate, the corps would have the luxury of showing some respect at press events like this. As it is, they had to take an opportunity, and the man who’s purportedly responsible for providing access to the candidate used a vulgar word at a “holy site” to indicate their lack of respect. Which is real respectful.
* I’m calling dibs on the title Gorka: The Press Secretary That Traveled Like a Man. It’ll be a black and white 50s-style sci-fi horror movie, and the climactic scene will involve the press pulling Gorka’s rubber mask off, revealing a fish-faced alien who then shouts, “Kiss my ass, planet Earth!”

He really lost his shit? Paul Constant is a chump. Keep lying to the people, Paul. Keep on lying.
And that whole “blowjob” thing regarding Romney? It isn’t catching on, you fucking dope. What would people think if Republicans said the same thing about Obama?
Hypocrites and liars. Liberals suck anymore.
The only thing Romney needs against Obama is the truth. Obama is a failed leader and anyone still buying his shit is a fucking moron. See ya in November.
Not that I expect reality to be within your grasp, but Republicans do the same damn thing to Obama ALL THE TIME. And before that, they did it to John Kerry:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFQFB5YpDZE
“You know your voice is kind of nice when your mouth isn’t screwing it up.”
“Yeah and you look kind of pretty when your face isn’t screwing it up”
SJR: I think this sentence is complete: “Liberals suck anymore.” I can’t figure out what you’re trying to say there.
My best guesses:
“Liberals don’t not suck anymore.”
“Liberals don’t suck enough anymore.”
“After my treatment, I don’t yearn to liberal suck anymore.”
“Liberals suck manymore.”
“My birthday is in November, and I hope to see you all at my party. The theme of it, fyi, is ‘liberally sucking as much, or anymore, that you can AS FAST AS YOU CAN.’ It should be fun.”
Are any of these correct?
I wonder where the term “dibs” came from.
Bullshit like this justifies the phrase “gotcha journalism.”
Well done, Paul – you’ve managed to embarrass a blog whose other posts concern otter videos and jizz-induced diarrhea.

A kids game, circa 1720-30’s. Suddenly “dibs” seems so much more lame. :/
Also, the word “dibs” was EXTREMELY popular in the 1880’s.
It was a less than stellar week abroad for โMitt the Twit.โ Romney should be more knowledgeable of foreign policy since he knows every corner of the world he can hide his money! Heโs already has international financial ties which run all the way from Switzerland to the Cayman Islands. Never mind that heโs never been involved with politics outside of the US- only his millions of dollars have. Read about the role of Mittโs money and his Magic Mormon Underwear are playing in the polls at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05… where you can see for yourself the true power of both on display in full color!
Why does Mitt always look like he just sharted?

Sweet, stjohnsrules isn’t coming back until November!
Look, I would rather vote for Corky from “Life Goes On” than Obama. Hell, they could put Al Gore’s prostate up there and get 50%. Obama not only failed but he broke many, many promises. He’s a loser and anyone dumb enough to support him after nearly fours years of fuckin’ up the program deserves to follow him down the ideological commode. This extremist shit is just that. Shit. Liberals don’t want to get along. They want absolute power yet they have no idea what to do with it. All you misguided sheep should really educate yourselves on both candidates from various resources.
Look to the left. Look to the right. Be careful you don’t get run down by either side. The left, in this instance, is EXTREME. Romney isn’t extreme. He is much more moderate and far more qualified than Obama to run the day-to-day operations of America. Our economy is fucked, in case you sycophants haven’t noticed. But while you jealously attack rich people, keep in mind they have the ability to wait out four more years while the poor, many of them minorities and many of them YOU, get the shaft. Rich people don’t like Obama. For many reasons. The media isn’t going to sell you…. I mean…. tell you that. If you want a decent job, I strongly suggest you vote smarter this time. If not, it’s going to get worse. People and communities are tapped out like ROM in a gay bukkake scene. You all know that ROM stands for “Romney’s Oral Manservant”, don’t you?
Obviously, SJR works for Romney or has no job at all. Who else has the time to write 5000 words a day on Blogtown?
Invoking the great star from Life Goes On to make a political point seems rather appropos for this thread, honestly. Allow me to chime in: I’d listen to Corky singing Ted Nugent’s Greatest Hits all day on a loop before reading another incoherent sentence form sjr.
Anyone else have any apt comparisons to make, in Corky terms of course?
How can I have a job, Lew? Obama’s the president. Kitzhaber is the governor. And Sam Adams is still in city hall. There are many people without jobs thanks to these extremist fucknards. Are you really going to denigrate them during a recession? Is that really how you want to go through life?
As far as working for Romney: Are you kidding me? I grew up in Portland. What fuckers like you ignore is that this isn’t so much about Romney as much as it’s about how fucking Obama went extremist and lost my vote. All of his social policies have failed, especially in the black community. Black people are really suffering and liberal extremists try to cheat old black women out of their homes like on Mississippi Ave this year. You won’t see many independents or conservatives doing that. Occupy Portland has done nothing for society but divide it. Same with Obama. All liberal extremists doing nothing.
Support Obama all you want. You’re entitled to your vote. Just know this time you will be on the losing side and you’re better off voting for Ron Paul or Romney.
You know how you gauge success in life? Do the exact opposite of what liberal leaders tell you is right and you will succeed in every aspect. This is coming from someone who grew up in Portland with the dipshit liberal establishment. I don’t have a job. I own a business, no thanks to the idiot local, state and federal leadership trying to take away my hard earned capital so they can just wipe their asses with it. Literally. Portland Loo? Yep. I helped pay for that crapper. I’ve watched my tax dollars go nowhere for too long. And before any of you pasty liberal bitches tell me to move, I have deep roots here and I’m not going anywhere. Don’t like the criticism? YOU can kick rocks.
TSW: You are exactly what is wrong with the country. You don’t have any valid comments. Just attacks on me because you disagree with me. But here lies a big problem for you. When you attack, you open yourself up to ridicule for looking so fucking impotent. What don’t you tell the class why Obama is such a great president and why Romney is such a bad candidate and why YOU are such an expert on these matters? You’re a sheep. Regurgitating the same old lies. The same old bullshit. It’s all Dubya’s fault. It’s all China’s fault. It’s all John Boehner’s fault. Take responsibility you mudslinging little douche.
Or you can crawl back into the hole from which you came. Or the hole in which your dad came.
Huh, one of my main gripes with Obama is that’s too right-wing. Funny to hear someone describe him as a left-wing extremist. You lack historical perspective.
My next gripe is that he spent too much time in his first four years attempting to reach consensus’ with the Republicans’ in office, and the Repubs voted blindly along the party line over and over. I would rather see him playing smarter politics.
The problems with Romney are that he’s a bad businessman in the sense that he doesn’t excel at building relationships, and he has little integrity, and his economic plans don’t add up: http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/08/romne…
Yeah, things aren’t great. But, considering we just experienced the worst stock market crash since the great depression, and are seeing the largest ever income disparities between average workers and our esteemed business leaders, it could be way worse! Thanks, big gov!
I would also vote for Corky. Hell, I would vote for a KKK Grand Dragon over Romney or Obama. I think the only thing this country needs is to break the duopoly of power-insiders that has been in place since at least the late 70โs. This country desperately needs fresh thinking, and I think it would be healthy even if we had some really ass-backwards thinking in Washington DC (that is to say, much more extremely horrible than we have now). I think things need to get really bad before people like ROM and SJR can get along and have an actual dialog about real priorities. Maybe afterward a terrible administration, the regular American citizen will sober up a bit and not spend their energies fighting each other.
This is actually why I liked Ron Paul: it wasnโt because I agreed with any of his policies (I actually find his version of Libertarianism deeply flawed) but I appreciated the utility of a fresh perspective.
I am still waiting for evidence that Romney and Obama have different viewpoints on anything. It seems to me that theyโre both national socialists, they both support the never-ending wars, they both support the police state and Drug Warโฆ.so on what meaningful level do they really differ? I think, at most, they differ in what industries should be supported by the stolen American tax payer money.
fidelity: we had a terrible administration for eight years before Obama. And then for some reason we thought that Obama – even though he’s attached to the Democratic Party – would signal a shift in how politics is operated. Many thought he was the fresh-thinker! But that didn’t happen, in large part because the system is broken and dysfunctional; members of Congress and the Senate are too partisan, corrupt, and ideological.
Don’t misunderstand my post. I’m not an Obama fanboy. I think he was largely ineffective, and he pandered when he should have lead. I would gladly vote for a third party. I agree with you that Romney and Obama aren’t too different.
I think your comments are sensible and reasonable ROM, and agree with you in almost every part. Personally, I do think Obama’s failures are not based entirely (or even partially) because our system is broken and dysfunctional – I think Obama has received most of the things he desired, that escalating a drone war and ruining socialized medicine, among others, were decisions of Obama, and not byproducts of Republican constraint. Alternatively, if it was Obama’s will, he could have used his executive authority – the same powers that Bush used – to simply make declarations of policies. For example, Obama could have simply declared that the NSA is no longer going to spy on every American, he could have simply declared the closure of Gitmo and moved the prisoners to a federal facility in the United States โ these would have been within his constitutional authority. Actions like this would have branded Obama as a dictator, but it’s better to be a successful dictator than a lame duck. I think Obama was elected because he was the most polarizing and radical alternative to the Bush administration. Obama will likely be re-elected by Romney is a rich unlikeable goon.
Romney isn’t at all unlikeable to normal society. I’m a proud independent voter and I have done my due diligence when it comes to this election. Look, I’m no Ayn Rand disciple but she had it right that we have regulated the fuck out of business and made it impossible to create jobs. Much of that can be DIRECTLY attributed to Dodd/Frank. For people that want burdensome regulations, I understand your fears. You think easing restrictions will lead to more income inequality but nothing could be further from the truth. Those greedy fuckers at the top would be happy to throw us all a bone off their table if those restrictions would ease. If anyone honestly believes that imposing more regulations and raising taxes will do any good, you will see what a real depression looks like. That’s more government which leads to more waste which leads to the poor getting fucked over even more. Look at the employment statistics for lower income whites, blacks and Hispanics. Especially the blacks. What’s really fucked up is that 95% of blacks voted for Obama and he fucked them all over.
And people still consider Obama a viable candidate? Why? Because he’s black?
I really don’t give a fuck if Romney is likeable from a personal standpoint. Just get the job done. Obama didn’t get it done and now radicals think they can tear ass on America on the way out. These people are dividers and want anarchy in society. They don’t care about the entire country. They want to fuck things up because they are terrible people in a rage toward a society that rightfully shuns them for being so arrogant and hostile. Fuck any extremist. That goes for Dan Savage AND Fred Phelps. That goes for Barney Frank AND Rick Santorum. We don’t need a dictator. We need a leader. Romney has my vote this time.
Speaking of unlikable extremists…
Hi Sjr,
What’s your business? The field you’re in, rather. You don’t necessarily need to give the business name, unless you want to. Thanks.
TSW
TSW: I’m guessing Maytag repairman, because this character sure has lots of free time! But seriously, 30 years of declining wages and unregulated predatory banking will always lead to lowered consumer demand, so maybe SJR is going through a slump. Things are slow at my shop, too. Maybe If Paris Hilton got another tax break, customers would be beating my door down.
TSW: Since you were somewhat respectful, I will give an inch. Take it…..TAKE IT!
I”m a CPA. That’s the main reason why I know we are fucked if Obama gets re-elected.
There’s nothing wrong with being a Maytag repairman or having time on your hands. What do you expect, Lew? To pound away most of your pathetic life being a wage slave? I won’t even apologize if that hits too close to home because I know it does. I know deep down that won’t do you any good.
Look, man. Do yourself a favor and vote for someone other than Obama this year. Vote for Ron Paul if Romney doesn’t suit you. It certainly isn’t racist to vote against him because he failed. Anyone that tells you otherwise is a desperate loser and you’re better off hanging with successful people instead of dead weight.
sjr,
Who makes up the bulk of your clientele? Do you handle individual returns, C corps, LLC’s? Big or small businesses?
Sjr, I can’t but notice that lately you’ve been employing one of Obama’s favorite words – “Look” – in your arguments. Yeah, it’s an effective tone. Makes you sound pretty reasonable (if it weren’t for the fact that half of your arguments revolve around setting up and then knocking down straw men). But are you secretly in love with that guy or something? Look, it’s okay for you to admit it.
I’ve given you enough personal information, TSW. Now you’re being nosy and rude. Why do you want this information? So you can track me down and try to ruin my business if you don’t agree with my politics?
Nice try. I’m not stupid and you’re not getting anything else out of me.
