Tonight: The School of Rock is mussing up their hair and/or pomading the unholy sadness out of it. It’s Robert Smith vs. Morrissey in a battle of tears and loneliness, with the most adorable musicians this side of Cibo Matto* (I suppose that reference really dates me).

* Speaking of… Yuka Honda’s making a guest appearance with the Nels Cline Singers at Sunday’s show at the Doug Fir. This sounds like it could rival the School of Rock for the weekend’s most delightful show.

  1. Wow. Just wow. I have such mixed feelings about this. On one hand I’m like, “YEAH! COOL! FUN!” But on the other hand I think I would be very sad seeing angst inspired songs performed by those that have little angst. I’m not hating on them…still…super fucking cool of them to do this.
