FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19

MUSIC—It’s been many moons since Portland’s double-headed Quasi beast roared ’round these parts, but tonight the indomitable duo of Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss returns, not once but TWICE, with an all-ages early show and a later show for all the fogeys. NED LANNAMANN
Mississippi Studios, 3939 N Mississippi, 6 pm, $12-14, all ages; 9 pm, $14-16, 21+ (w/Sally Timms, Sun Foot)

DANCE NIGHT—I actually hate that I’m writing this, but if you haven’t danced your ass off at Killingsworth Dynasty yet, you’re late to the party. The newish North Portland venue is one of the best boogie spots in the city, and it’s steps from my door. So go once—maybe to tonight’s set from DJ troupe Strange Babes—but don’t tell anybody. DIRK VANDERHART
Killingsworth Dynasty, 832 N Killingsworth, 9 pm, FREE

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20

DANCE—One of the most beloved of Portland queer dance nights, Gaycation, is saying a fond farewell after 10 years of sweating up the dance floor. Don’t be the butthole that misses this ass-shaking bon voyage, featuring DJs Snowtiger and Mr. Charming, as well as Gossip Cat, Automaton, and more. WM. STEVEN HUMPHREY
Holocene, 1001 SE Morrison,9 pm, $7-10

MUSIC—Cincinnati band Wussy are a pair of earmuffs for your soul—warm, fuzzy, and gloriously familiar. With vocals by Chuck Cleaver and Lisa Walker, their atmospheric tunes are driving, earnest, and heartfelt, like Tom Petty penned a love letter to his favorite shoegaze wuss-rock from the ’90s. Pretty great, in other words. COURTNEY FERGUSON
w/Rubella Graves; Dante’s, 350 W Burnside, 9 pm, $10

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21

MUSIC—Historically, Dana Buoy (the nom de record of Akron/Family drummer and Portland homeboy Dana Janssen) has married the cosmic with the catchy, with stratospheric pop that explores both inner and outer space. Tonight’s Dana Buoy’s first live show of the year, and the possibilities are endless. NED LANNAMANN
w/Mrch, Foreign Orange; Rontoms, 600 E Burnside, FREE

BAT MANIA—Zonk! Kpow! Yippy! It’s the battiest time of the year with the semi-regular Gotham a Go-Go, in which tribute is paid to the 1960s TV campfest Batman. Dress as your favorite villain or Catwoman (Julie Newmar!), and shake your hot-stuff to bands Bat-Mania and the Hauer Things, while DJ Gregarious keeps the party going! COURTNEY FERGUSON
White Owl Social Club, 1305 SE 8th, 8 pm, $5

TIMBERS—For the fan of a championship team, it’s never off-season. Every day, you’re stuck daydreaming about the highlights of last year (THREE POSTS!). Well, snap out of it. Your Portland Timbers have preseason matches underway. This evening, it’s Minnesota United FC at home. DIRK VANDERHART
Providence Park, 1844 SW Morrison,5 pm, $10-90, all ages, broadcasting live at timbers.com
