MUSIC—In addition to being one of the world’s best and most likeable actors, Jeff Bridges also plays music—his country songs are solidly charming and ragged in all the right places. MUSIC—To describe the music of Mr. Gnome as “textured” would be a grave understatement. Employing a complicated setup of pedals, Nicole Barille and Sam Meister make an incredibly rich, sometimes creepy wall of hard/soft/hard that’s psychedelically cinematic and grunge as gravy. MARJORIE SKINNER
