FILM—Watching I Am Chris Farley is kind of like having whiplash… in a good way. Using clips and interviews from his family and friends, the documentary tells the story of an immensely talented comedian who died far too soon. It’s both very sad and very funny—hence that whiplash feeling. Co-director Brent Hodge will be Skyping in for a Q&A. ERIK HENRIKSEN

MUSIC—Metal is not easy, and High on Fire refuse to rely on cookie-cutter bullshit. After 17 years, Matt Pike and his band are just as vibrant as when they began, finding new riffs to rip up and new themes to tackle, while riding a wave of glorious noise like the hesher philosopher-kings of metal they are.
