Fantastic Mr. Fox
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the Academy Theater’s showing fan-favorite films from their past decade of bookings. This week? Wes Anderson’s phenomenal Fantastic Mr. Fox, which just might be his best movie. Anderson’s 2009 Roald Dahl adaptation features gorgeous, hand-wrought stop-motion animation, pitch-perfect voices from George Clooney, Meryl Streep, and Bill Murray, and cinema’s finest use of the Beach Boys’ “Heroes and Villains.” Sweet and sad and funny and clever, Fox is a must-see on the big screen.
