It’s gonna be a soggy weekend, but you shouldn’t let a little rain stop you from heading to events like the St. Patrick‘s Day Parade and Wonderlove’s St. Patrick’s Festival, and from the CSA Share Fair to an Academy Awards Watch Party hosted by Poison Waters. Plus, you can get a Friday the 13th flash tattoo and Saturday is Pi Day. Check out our top picks of the week and our Oscars guide for even more ideas.

FRIDAY

FILM

Six Short Films by Barbara Hammer x Lesbian Cinema Club
During her 50-year-long filmmaking career, Barbara Hammer pioneered queer cinema, documenting the little known histories of lesbians and feminists. Reflecting on political struggles, aging, love, body image, beauty standards, and queerness, her films stand as a time capsule and an ode to queer culture. Six of her shorts will be shown on this sapphic evening, including iconic works from her early career, including Super Dyke (1975), Women I Love (1976), and Multiple Orgasm (1976). Hosted by Portland’s Lesbian Cinema Club—a group formed around a love of lesbian art and a drive to financially support gender affirming care—this screening offers a cinematic way to start or continue your queer education!
