Looks like we’ll get a break from the rain this weekend, so head out for cheap and easy events from the Portland Zine Symposium to the Portland Camera Club Opening Party and from the Frybread Fest to The Decliners’ 20th Anniversary Bender. Check our our weekly top picks guide for more suggestions.

FRIDAY

VISUAL ART

Portland Camera Club x The Portland Darkroom Opening Party
A new hybrid art pop-up shop, gallery, and creative space opens its door downtown this weekend. Dreamt up by Sam Slater from the Portland Darkroom, an accessible, member-supported space dedicated to analog photography, and local Portland artist and photographer Anthony Georgis, the photography-based third space will run for two months (fingers crossed it becomes a permanent fixture!). At the opening on Friday, Portland Camera Club will unveil a print collection featuring well-known Portland contributors alongside some up-and-coming artists. Go make friends and take some photos!
