If you only attend fashion shows during one weekend of this season, well... you should probably go to the Mercury's huge show, the lineup for which is so, so amazing that I'm dying to tell you but can't quite yet. (Dying!) It's on May 6 at the Bossanova. But! If you can squeeze in two weekends, you should make this the other one, because it features two back to back collection debuts from some of the buzziest talents in Portland. Firstly, tonight is the Spring 2011 show from cult favorite Adam Arnold (that's right, I said cult favorite), which as is recent tradition, will take place in his soaring-ceiling'ed SE MLK studio, where the stricly enforced no-shoes policy (you should really see the floor, it is white and gleaming and—of course—Arnold put it in himself) calls for your best hosiery and your most comfortable shoes. DJ Beyonda composed a soundtrack for the runway! Plus the after party takes place at the Lovecraft, which is a frakking "horror themed tea shop and bar" which is just... an amazing concept. (I've never been before; please tell me it's going to be magical!) Adam Arnold S/S '11, TONIGHT!, 338 SE MLK, doors at 7 pm, free

Save a little energy for Saturday, too, because the back-in-business Portland Design Collective (which closed for a little touch-up after its initial life as one of the downtown pop-up holiday shops) is featuring local hotties Dawn Sharp, Heather Treadway, Pure Jewelry, plus LA's Vessels. There will be a cash bar and lots and lots of pretty people watching! PDC's "A Fashion Show/Case," Portland Design Collective, 902 SW Morrison, doors at 7:30, free
