Heather Treadway and Lisa Schonberg—who you know from Treadway’s eponymous clothing line, their former band Explode Into Colors, their current band Secret Drum Machine, and the pages of Tom Tom Magazine, among other things—are going to Joshua Tree next month. I know: good for them. But, they’re working! They’ve been asked to do a month long residency at A-Z West’s High Desert Test Sites, “a series of experimental art sites” which “provide alternative space for experimental works by both emerging and established artists.” They added a few other collaborators and plan to create an installation and performance that draws on music and fashion. Sounds fun, right? Here’s the catch: Money. Hit the click for the pitch.

Thanks Marjorie! We are going to bring you back the coolest tortoise shell we can find.
Lisa is amazing! I’m excited to see what comes from this.
Just found out tortoise shells are illegal to collect!! But we will be coming home with some massively rad art to share with PDX.
