If you’re a regular reader of MOD, you’ve seen me gush over the glory that is Winn Perry–a men’s emporium that recalls the era before the common American man’s wardrobe defaulted to slovenly. It makes me want to get all Victor Victoria in there, so beautiful are the array of masculine accoutrement. If you have yet to visit the newly minted store, the coming grand opening celebration is this Friday evening, and in addition to the typical wine and munchies affair, will feature live music and readings from original works: Lord Breaulove Swells Whimsy‘s The Affected Provincial’s Companion, Vol. 1 and A. Gustav Bayer‘s Minutiae of Black Tie Etiquette. Oh, boy! It all goes down at “7 o’clock Post Meridian” (too much?) and in what may very likely be a first for a Portland store event, ties are recommended.
