If you’ve ever braved the line that spills onto SE Morrison, you know that Portlanders will do just about anything for a mouthful of Bunk. Now you can experience the stomach padding thrill of their sandwiches without standing on the sidewalk. Oh, you can drink too.

Bunk Bar is the much gossiped about new venture from Bunk founders Tommy Habetz and Nick Wood, plus local man about town Matt Brown, that is open right this very second on 1028 SE Water. As of 4pm today the doors are open and you can check out their huge mural dedicated to Harry Dean Stanton in Paris, Texas.

  2. only one block away from the hair of the dog tasting room that opened last week. There’s a lot of really good food and drink options in that hood now.

  3. Bunk n’ Kenny & Zuke’s, two Portland staples for sandwiches that East coasters know doesn’t begin to compare. I guess your pizza and bagel shops have improved quite a bit over the years.
