You can get yourself a free cup of coffee today until 2 pm at the p:ear barista school [338 NW 6th Ave].
Why am I getting free coffee from a non-profit, you ask? The p:ear barista school (in association with Seattle’s Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co.) teaches at-risk youth skills to get a good job in one of the area’s many many coffee shops. As part of that training, they need to serve a customer. What better way to get a customer than to offer free coffee.
Go. Tip well, and while you’re at it, get involved.

Do they offer these classes to at-risk artists, too?
What a fun seal.

“hmm, graduate degree recipient or at risk youth. Maybe we should try the bikini Batista business model, both are surely desperate enough”
It was very tasty but they clearly haven’t taken any classes on being grumpy or too cool yet.
Thanks p:ear!
