Valentine’s Day is fast approaching—do you know what you and your boo are going to do? Here are a few of our favorite food-focused options, from no-holds-barred prix fixe affairs (pro tip: have sexy time first; you’ll be too full after dinner) to little boxes of gold-flecked churros to please your love. (All events are on February 14, unless otherwise noted.)

Aviary
Two-time James Beard nominated Chef Sarah Pliner is hosting a four-course dinner, marrying her criminally underrated French technique with Asian flavors. This Northeast Alberta hideaway has vegetarian options as well, and is $75 a person with a $35 wine pairing. Reservations can be made by phone only, at 503-287-2400.

Morgan St. Theater
Celebrate with “An Evening in Spain.” Hosted in the Inner Eastside Shout House space, performers from Espacio Flamenco will sing, dance, and play music, and it’s all paired with Morgan St.’s super-tasty ice cream desserts inspired by the flavors of Spain. The $50 ticket includes dessert, flamenco, a glass of champagne, and gratuity.

Quaintrelle
The best restaurant on Mississippi, Quaintrelle, is playing it chill for Valentine’s, running its normal menu alongside specials such as scallops and a rib-eye for two with Oregon black truffles. Bar manager Camille Cavan will be mixing up cocktails for two, served tableside. Reservations are strongly recommended by calling 503-200-5787 or at quaintrelle.co.
