Tomorrow is Natl. Pie Day and I am STOKED! I like pie so much more than I like cake, or any other desert for that matter. It’s easy to make. It’s swell with ice cream. It’s the most delicious and hilarious food to hit someone in the face with, and I’ll be gosh-darned if it doesn’t hold a messy-faced-child-in-ragged-overalls type nostalgia for me.
In short: Pies rool. Cakes drool.
So as soon I leave this office, I’m heading to the store to buy some supplies, returning home and engaging in Piepocolypse 2009!, an all-out pieapalooza baking extravaganza. The night will surely find me sticky, booze-soaked, and happily twitching in a mess of flour and fruit filling. I should wake tomorrow with enough pie to last the weekend.
If you’re not so good at working the oven, you too can enjoy Natl. Pie day by heading over to Random Order Coffee House. They’ll have pie and drink special throughout the day tomorrow and a pie-extravaganza (with live music) beginning at 7pm. This might be a great option for my co-workersโbecause they aint getting any of my pie! Except for Steve, who’s my boss, and would probably just take it from me anyway.
For more information check out the American Pie Council (by far the most scrumptious of councils, and way better than the American Council on Excersice).
And while we wait for tomorrow, there’s a passel more pie videos after the jump to get you PUMPED!

Although tomorrow is National Pie Day, it is not, as your pi pie at the top of the post indicates, National Pi Day, when math geeks make pies and, I suppose, determine their area. That’s March 14th.
“In short: Pies rool. Cakes drool.”
That’s true! Otherwise Pie Wrecks would be very popular!
This just makes me miss Pushing Daisies all the more. ๐
