From NPR:

“The Other White Meat” has another slogan. The National Pork Board on Friday replaced the decades-old ad campaign with a new message: “Pork: Be Inspired.”

It’s tough to beat that specificity. I would have gone with something more obvious, like “Pork: Dance Like No One Is Watching.” Or “Pork: Friendship Is Magic.” Or “Pork: Wear Sunscreen.” But that’s why I don’t pull in the big advertising dollars. What pithy phrases would you use to sell animal flesh?

  1. I can’t beat “Pork Like You Mean It,” but how about:

    “Pork: Meat, Also”

    “Pork: Great on Matzah!”

    “Pork: Is It In You?”

    “Pork Reloaded: The RePiggening”

    “Swine is Fine”

    “Swine Flu: Catch It!”

    “Pork: The Swine that Binds”

“Pork: Another Delicious Baby Animal God Made Just for Your Eating Pleasure!”*

    * (Pigs would ordinarily live 6-9 years, but the pigs people eat live 6-9 months, generally in pretty horrifying conditions – The More You Know!)

  2. This whole campaign needs a spokesperson. May I suggest:

    Judge Robert Pork
    Pork from Ork (Nanu Nanu!)
    Piggy Pop
    Ginuswine (Ft. 2-Pork Shakur)

  3. CC,
    That’s a prime cut!

If she hadn’t recently passed away, Javalena Horne (RIP) wouldn’ve been perfect performing something from Porgy and Bess.
