Romney’s 47% comments, which were about how he was trying to attract independents, are now pushing independents away:
The survey, taken Tuesday, finds just over half of independents say the video won’t make a difference in their vote. Those who say it will have an effect by 2-1, 29%-15%, say it makes them less likely rather than more likely to support the GOP presidential nominee.
And Mitt Romney is very sad about this:
Mr. Romney himself seemed pensive on the early-morning flight Tuesday from California to Utah, sitting alone with a white legal pad and a pen as he picked at a vegetarian breakfast burrito. An aide said that he had eaten dinner alone in his hotel room the night before as the video controversy began to unfold.
That is such a sad, lonely image. You could write a whole book, or write and record a whole album, about the idea of Romney being depressed and picking apart a vegetarian breakfast burrito. I’ve felt more emotion for him as a human being thanks to this one paragraph from the New York Times than I did in the entire Republican National Convention.

I did at first think that was a link to another Onion article.
It’d be nice if “ate dinner alone” thing meant that even Ann thought the “47 percent” thing was going too far.
Probably too good to be true.
Still, she’s probably outta there right after E-day.
The Onion article about it was good. Predictable but good. If it was posted here already today, I apologize.. was working and haven’t kept up.
