News broke yesterday, just about everywhere, that Ben Dyer and crew at Viande Meats and Simpatica Catering have purchased a building on East Burnside. The idea is to open “a restaurant with a butcher shop inside of it.” There will be no changes in the Simpatica Supper Club or Sunday brunch so don’t freak out. The new joint on Burnside will be open “spring-ish.” So, will we be seeing a weekly porchetta on the east side? I definitely hope so.
