Capcom's Unity blog has a crapbarge of information on the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken straight from the publisher's annual Captivate 2011 event. You can read the whole thing here.

The good news? SFxT is going to be a mashup of Capcom's Street Fighter 4 art style and Namco's Tekken Tag Tournament gameplay with controls that "will feel familiar for fans of both series." How the crap that could work, I have no idea, but it's early enough in the development cycle that my optimism hasn't yet been crushed entirely.

The bad news? No word on Alex or Roger. Yeah, fine, Ryu's cool and I have been known to appreciate a jaguar-masked, alcoholic, Mexican priest at times, but c'mon! Velociraptor plus boxing gloves equals awesome. The kangaroo less so, but you still can't argue with the math.

(Psst! There's also a new gameplay trailer beyond the jump.)

Are the tyrannosaurs in the background of that one stage going to be having orgasms throughout the entire fight?
