Sony's PSP successor now officially has a name and a price tag.
"Vita" sports dual touchpads, dual cameras, GPS, motion sensitivity and an electronic compass. It comes equipped with online connectivity via wifi and Sony will also offer a 3G/wifi model that features internet access via AT&T.
The new handheld will go on sale at the end of the year. The wifi model will retail for $250 while the 3G-enabled version will set you back $300.
Remember when I reviewed the Nintendo 3DS? Same rules apply. Cool tech is cool, but until Vita gets some awesome games, it's a doorstop.
Update: No sooner do I type up my cynical critic bit, than Sony unveils footage of Vita's Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Hit the jump for a very convincing argument on the gadget's behalf.
