Thoughts of Princess Peach’s … um, “peach” dancing in your head? Yeah, this is not that. Sorry pervs.
Instead, Eight Bit Strange is a series of short films commissioned by GameTrailers (because when you’re an MTV property, you damn well spend your budget on something, or they’ll replace your ass with a reality TV show faster than you can say “Italian stereotype”).
Content-wise, Eight Bit Strange is essentially just an excuse for a stylized Solid Snake to be totally awesome. A bunch of other beloved gaming characters show up, and are also awesome, but Snake is more awesome, always. (I’m not very good at this.)
Honestly, I’m a bit behind on this series of vignettes — the first “season” just ended — but that’s no reason for me to shrug off my contractually-mandated blogging requirements, is it?
You can catch the first episode below, and another eight beyond the jump. They get better as the season rolls along, but you’re still not getting any pixelated ‘tang.
