This morning saw the announcement of Fallout: New Vegas.
Though it’s not a sequel to Fallout 3, it is set in the same universe and is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment — a development house chock full of people who worked on the first two Fallout games.
As the title implies, the game takes place in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
And that’s the extent of what we know.
While I applaud the change of scenery, I would like to point out that — despite what the above picture might imply — legalizing Radscorpion prostitution is a terrible idea. You just don’t know where those things have been.
From a standpoint of remaining canon, shouldn’t this game be set in Reno? I thought Vegas got completely wiped out by the time of Fallout 2.

Perhaps, after Vegas was wiped out, many decades later, people settled back into the area…. or maybe everyone just THOUGHT it was wiped out….. I cant wait to see the Vegas version of Dukov’s place.
Gah! Is this what my characters are doing while they’re supposed to be “waiting” or “sleeping” out in the wastes? Must have become awfully lonely out there after Dogmeat died.
Since they haven’t released any actual details on the story or really anything about the game in fact so they could have easily done something deep in the story to correct those things….. OR they just didn’t give a shit and wanted to make a kick ass game the way they wanted to. either way im downloading this fo free
