Thanks to Electronic Arts’ embargo I can’t yet tell you whether Mirror’s Edge is like Jared Leto circa My So Called Life or Jared Leto circa whatever the hell it is that he’s doing now. You’ll just have to wait ’til next week for that.
In the meantime, I want to point out two related, non-Leto-themed points of interest. First, the video above. That’s the final trailer for Mirror’s Edge, released today to celebrate the game’s gold status — that is, the game has finally been completed and is winging its way to duplication plants deep in the heart of … San Francisco, probably. It doesn’t really matter. Just watch the clip.
Second, did I mention already that the Mirror’s Edge demo has been available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network Store for the last few days? It is, it has, and I’m sorry if I didn’t.

I’m hoping for “Fight Club”-era Leto. The demo’s no skate., but it holds a lot of promise.
Is Mirror’s Edge 720 or 1080? I’m gettin tired of all this 720 weak-sauce.
From what I’ve seen, Mirror’s Edge might just be the game that compels me to pick up one of the new decks. I look forward to your review.
Graham, I don’t honestly know. I’m going to tentatively say its 720 based on the very smooth framerate of the thing, but I’ll email EA and report back with anything I can pry out of them.
Good news Graham!
According to my people at EA the game can do full 1080p if you have the right set up for it.
