I’m going to assume you all played Katamari Damacy.

Actually, scratch that — I’m going to assume that, like, six of you actually played it, but the rest of you were so inundated by references to the quirky ball-rolling action by those six that you essentially got the gist of the thing anyway.

Good! Now that we’re all caught up I can tell you what Keita Takahashi (the guy responsible for Katamari) is up to now.

Roll the clip!

My friends, THAT was Noby Noby Boy. I’d be lying if I said I could describe the gameplay or the plot, but I do know that it’s coming to the PlayStation 3 early next year.

Expect endless critical praise, scorn from overly-hormonal teen boys, and smiles of pure joy from girls you might want to kiss.

  1. I thought Takahashi said he was done making video games and was only going to design playgrounds from now on. I can only hope that he keeps up the quality sound work from Katamari in his new game.

  2. Yeah Graham, he did say that.
After his first playground design crushed five kids under a gigantic anthropomorphic rainbow however, he came back to game development.
