All Jane continued last night with Beth Stelling and Friends at Curious Comedy Theater, which brought together sets from Aparna Nancherla, Rye Silverman, Subhah Agarwal, Emily Maya Mills, Kelsie Huff, and Maggie May, with Mercury pal Bri Pruett MCing. Pat Moran captured these photos at the early show:

Meanwhile, comedian (and brunch enthusiastโwait, who isn’t a brunch enthusiast?*) Andie Main, who has provided some pretty cute, charming coverage of the festival in years past, posted this rundown of Day 1 on her Tumblr, “All Jane with Andie Main“:
Iโm a local comedian who you may know from that one time you went to a bar with your friends to have a nice drink and a chat and then holy shit thereโs a comedy show happening, so you went to the patio. Iโm in my third All Jane No Dick Festival, and I thought I would share my experiences with you this year while I participate as a member of the audience, as a comedian and a brunch enthusiast, because Iโm sorry about that one dive bar comedy show that interrupted your hang-out time.
You can read the whole thing here.
All Jane continues tonight with a jam-packed laughter itinerary: headlining slots for Aparna Nancherla and Sara Schaefer (fair warning: they are both really funny) at Curious Comedy, and a queer comedy showcase at Alberta Street Pub followed by readings from terrible, terrible books. Full details here.
*Oh, right. THIS GUY.

Glad no one thought of adding a distracting backdrop to the stage. That would’ve been bad.
Also, if you wanted to make the name less crass but still mock the macho,
ALL JANE NO TARZAN might work well.
So glad you posted this dumb idea in two places. It’s sure to be twice as effective.
Care to unpack your hostility to this fest? C’mon, it’ll be fun.
I hadn’t noticed that there was a new post about the event. And since hardly anyone reads Blogtown anyway, and especially old posts…
Not hostile. I was commenting. It’s what I do. You think it’s a great name, that’s fine, I just think “dick” is in your face, so to speak.
