Though the strip of queer establishments known as the pink triangle/Vaseline alley has largely been dispersed, there are a few noble holdouts, not least of which is Scandals, which has been around in various forms since way back in 1979, earning itself the nickname of "Portland's Gay Cheers." Tomorrow night, they're pulling all the stops for the anniversary, which they're calling "Thursday Night Live" featuring live music from The Old Flames, art by Larz Davis, and happy hour prices until midnight, which alone will ensure the party will be off the hook. Oh yeah, and no cover either!
