Their kids will never be abused.

And I mean NOT AT ALL! So there’s this study, right? And it’s by the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS), okay? And get this—it’s the longest-running study ever conducted on American lesbian families (now in its 24th year). And guess what they found out?!

The paper found that none of the 78 NLLFS adolescents reports having ever been physically or sexually abused by a parent or other caregiver. This contrasts with 26 percent of American adolescents who report parent or caregiver physical abuse and 8.3 percent who report sexual abuse.

Well, thanks a lot HUFFPO, you’ve just proven there’s yet another thing that lesbians are better at than the rest of us. (That’s it. I’m switching teams!)

Their kids will never be abused.

  1. I had a friend in HS whose mom was a lesbian and she used to wail on him and his sister if they screwed up or crossed her. She was pretty butch though. Sweeping generalizations are only wrong when made my older white males.

  2. C’mon, bullshit. 27 families? And they didn’t even compare to hetero families that adopted as a control. Your average lesbian couple that manages to get a kid in their home is going to be on a high socioeconomic than the average crappy family.
