I think this is such bullshit. Going into a target to protest is not going to change anything, and all those workers in that store including the blonde lady that kicked them out, are only doing their jobs. If you want to protest that is fine, do it at corporate headquarters where people that work in the building are the ones who make the decisions.
Also since when are people allowed to tell a private company what to do with their money? Target can take 150,000 dollars and burn it in a trash can for all I care, it’s their money, they earned it.
Actually, noremac407, Target didn’t earn that money, or any of the wealth that it controls. The workers earned that money. Without the workers, there are no profits. That doesn’t change the fact that the protesters’ tactics, while fun, were lame and ineffective. It remains true that the only people impacted by their actions had no say in Target’s political funding.
While I agree with their position, this form of protest was completely inappropriate, as is directly asking a store manager to comment on corporate decisions.
