Well that’s the word according to Tabloid Prodigy who says Ricky Martin confessed all on his blog today (however, it should be noted that his blog is currently down—probably because of that damn power line on NE 12th & Sandy which collapsed after hearing Ricky Martin is gay). Here’s what he (allegedly!) had to say:
These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed. What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on what’s happening to me in this moment. The word “happiness” takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.
I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.
So, if true, congrats to you, Ricky. You are a brave talented man (though I’ve always preferred your work with Menudo—but that’s just me). Here is a video of what I think is still one of your greatest post-Menudo performances.

I read it on his blog earlier. It’s true.
Not that I normally read his blog. That would be oh hahahaha! What? Nothing.
Up is down.
Black is white.
She Bangs? Was this autobiographical? Is Ricky a bottom? Will he do a “He Bangs (Remix ’10)?
So many questions.
OK, I originally wanted to engage in the usual blogtown snarkfest. Ricky Martin is pretty easy to mock.
My 2nd thought, was how damned sad for him that he didn’t come out until he was almost 40. The pain and fear of living a lie most of his adult life must have been horrible.
My 3rd? THANK YOU RICKY!!!! This will have a ripple effect. RM, you have indirectly helped others come out, and thank you!
I wish you had come out sooner. But thank you for coming out when you did.
Now STAY out, stay loud, stay proud!
After years of speculation the Pope today confirmed on his personal website what has long been considered a foregone conclusion by many: That he is, indeed, Catholic.
I thought it was pretty obvious.
