You have come in between my wife and I. Our life is going along fine. New born little munchkin, money coming in, the birds are shining the sun is chirping. These are the years a man lives for. That new family smell..mmmm—nothing better.. And then the baby clothes thing happened. What the fuck is the matter with you? Thanks for the little german outfit for our daughter. But here’s what—NOPE. Not gunna do it (George Bush Sr. voice) I appreciate you buying us clothes for our little one. We like gifts..keep them coming, but if we choose to not adorn her in this absolute garbage that is OUR decision. Bite your tongue, shut the fuck up, be grateful we allow you in our house after the birth house fiasco. I know the stuff you say to my wife. That shit is damaging. I work my ass off for us. She does too. We actually love each other a little bit still-we joke about it all the time. We are trying to build something together. You raised your family now it’s our turn. Your role is to be cool. If you aren’t—You drive a wedge between me and my wife but if wife agrees with me then you are losing her too. Figure it out Grandma.

  1. Step aside Amateur. I got 2 sisters in evil that make Grandma look like fucking Mother Theresa. One day I’m gonna climb the mountain top and drop a big fat boulder on them crushing their sociopathic brains into Ragu and hopefully making them into vegetables on tubes for the rest of their miserable fucking lives. Their testicle-free husbands won’t deserve that kind of luck but it can’t all be win/win now, can it?

  2. The only wedge here is you. Grama is just being what every other Grama likes to do. Son in Laws like you are the reason for all the turmoil. I think you suck.
You want her to give you money so you can pick up a case of beer and other things. You ungrateful little snot.

  3. Welcome to the In-Law Asylum. Mine wasn’t bad. Never did anything bad to me and when we visited each other which wasn’t often we got along. On the Other Hand: My mother was rough on my wife treating her like she didn’t quite measure up to her expectations for her precious sonny boy and made damn sure the rest of my gossiping family felt the same way.

New paragraph break…dig it Fart Fuss. Dammit forgot to parenthesize!!

  4. I had two mother-in-laws, when I was married. Her bio-mom and her step-mom. Both were (and still are) complete whack-jobs. I really joined the military in ’99 to get us as far away from them as possible! But guess what?! The wife turned out to be more cray-cray than both in laws combined!

Relationships are hard enough. Allowing the unconsidered opinions of someone you don’t even get to have sex with to influence your relationship is a BAAAAAD step, I, A. Your wife needs to grow the hell up and draw a line in the sand to her mother’s bullying.

Not saying that all in-laws are bad… My new ones are effing awesomeness!! Love you guys!
