With half of your escalators being consistently out of order, why are you completely blocking them off so no one can pass? Why not be like every other mall and leave them open so people can walk up and down? Instead of forcing people to wait for incredibly slow elevators that may or may not be heading towards your floor? Not only that, but there’s a rule that prevents maintenance from using them while other people are on? Forcing them to wait even longer? This all seems pretty silly, not to mention a fire hazard, and actually quite dangerous.
