So Brian Barker from KATU was out in the parking lot at lunchtime, “dramatically recreating” Sunday night’s bike-on-motorist assault that’s making the news. Needless to say our mature Mercury staffers decided to help with the efficiency of this process, using an air horn. But then, we realized, KATU doesn’t know shit about dramatically recreating events. Check their newscast later, and then compare it to our efforts:

WARNING: DRAMATIC RECREATION OF A DRAMATIC RECREATION…

  1. That’s either the worst fake American accent or the worst fake British accent ever recorded. It could almost pass for Australian.

  2. This made me laugh harder than anything I have watched on TV or at the theater in a VERY long time!!! BRAVO!!! Emmy anyone? ๐Ÿ˜‰ And LOL with ezra’s comment! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I actually laughed out loud. A lot. Either because I am really dumb or the situation was so absurd, I didn’t really understand what happened until I saw this video.

  4. That was sweet!
I wish all remote reporters doing dramatic re-creations spoke like Matt. The evening news would be much more entertaining.
    (Nice airhorn work Court)

  5. On my ride in this morning I passed a guy that was playing an electric guitar as he biked. I would like to make a dramatic re-creation of what I wish I could have done besides just giving the stink eye.

  6. How come will build new bike bridges, bike lanes ect, and bicyclist don’t have to be licensed. Make them pay like the rest of us then they can use the roads.

  7. how about just a 5-second dramatic re-creation of tonya giving the stink eye, as played by a transformer-bot in a hot wheels car.
