This time, it’s against…
Speaking of which I was reliably informed this morning that Adams told former police chief, Derrick Foxworth, during the height of his scandal, “when you’re becoming the subject of jokes, it’s the time to step down.” Then, this landed in my inbox:
Q:What’s unique about Portland?
A: It’s the only place where an 18-year-old can legally drink a Sam Adams.
Not sure whether that qualifies as a “joke” in the strict sense. But…

I could make ten websites like that in an hour. That site sucks. ; D
Loaded Orygun has also weighed in, saying Adams should stay where he is for now.

So when Potter became the butt of jokes following Cesar Chavez indecent, he should have resigned as well?
Keep in mind that I think he should have. Not because he was was the butt of jokes, but because he wasn’t “running the city”, and it became clear then. And I’ll say the same of Adams, if he can’t recover from this, and go on and be the great mayor this city needs, then he should resign. (And If Obama couldn’t recover from his Grandmother dying to lead the country, then he should have resigned too.) But it is impossible to make that judgment two days after the scandal broke.
I hope he doesnt resign. No matter what he is still the guy i voted for and is qualified to do great things. I am over this like 20 minutes after he apologized.
