Mark your calendars, because June is shaping up to be a big leap in the return to “normalcy.” From Pride events to the return of live music and performances, weโ€™ve rounded up some of the best in-person happenings to hit up as Portlanders gradually emerge from lockdown and re-learn how to be social beings.ย

Rose Festival Art Show Most of the Rose Festivalโ€™s events are virtual this year, but the Oregon Society of Artists is opening their downtown gallery to art appreciators for the Annual Rose Festival Art Show. This yearโ€™s juried categories are โ€œHope Reignsโ€ (the Rose Festival theme), and โ€œRose Festival/Portland scenes.โ€ The showโ€™s opening reception on June 3 will include the presentation of a commissioned portrait of the 2020 Rose Festival Queen.
