Excellent. Last night’s was one of the funniest South Park episodes I’ve seen in a while–especially with that inclusion of a Howard the Duck pinball machine. The whole episode is here.

  1. I hate rape jokes. They ruin otherwise totally funny comedy. It’s almost always written by men and no one ever considers what it’s like to have been violated and then to constantly have the experience be downplayed like in this episode.

I enjoy south park but it continues to veer into territory where anything they do can’t be considered offensive because it’s comedy or satire or whatever. I have found some of their later stuff to be racist and not just poking fun at racism. I think a lot of people who watch the show don’t know the difference anymore.

Just had to vent since rape jokes seem to be really acceptable these days.

  2. Funny? I turned it off after a few minutes because I thought it was unfunny. And I am a fairly committed South Park fan going way back. I feel similar to comment #1 regarding the veering into unfunny/offensive at times. But, that edge is part of what makes South Park and Family Guy interesting sometimes. Sometimes I turn it off, and sometimes I don’t enjoy it, but other times the shows are quite funny.

I am not sure what comment #2 is all about. If it was a TV show I would probably turn it off.
