The nerd odds are in our favor this week. In an unsuccessful attempt to distract from the overwhelming anticipation of the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (EEEEEEEEEEE!!!), the internet gods have sent us a few squeal-worthy trailers: Star Trek Beyond, Independence Day: Resurgence, and now THIS! **Spoilers for other Harry Potter films ahead, but if you haven’t seen all of HP, you’re five years late and you deserve this.** Anyone remember a little international phenomenon called HARRY POTTER?!? Well the whole wizarding world didn’t stop turning when our lightning-scar hero went to that big train station in the sky, AND THEN CAME BACK, NBD. Fans have been begging for more cinematic stories form J.K. Rowling’s magical Potter-verse, and five years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, we’ve got a trailer for one! Based on the Magizoology (exactly what it sounds like) encyclopedia written by J.K. Rowling of the same name, (Centaurs, Hippogriffs, and Basilisks…oh my!) Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the first first screenplay by the writer. The tralier features spells (YES!), creepy foreshadowing (YES!), smokey typeface (YAAAAASSSSS!), Eddie Redmayne (meh), and exactly ZERO fantastic beasts.
According to the sneak peak you’ll be able to find fantastic magical beasts in New York City soon, (will spells sound as cool without adorable British accents? NO!) and in theaters November 2016.
