I do wish that instead of “From the studio that brought you X-Men: Days of Future Past,” it read “From the studio that already brought you not just one but two terrible Fantastic Four movies,” but that’s just a quibble. Here’s the first trailer for Fox’s latest attempt to bring Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s first Marvel superheroes to the screen, directed by Chronicle‘s Joshua Trank and starring three very talented young actorsโMichael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell! Kate Mara is also in it.
Hey, I’ll go see that! I wasn’t too keen on Chronicle, and even in comics, very few people other than old-timey Lee and Kirby have ever managed to make the Fantastic Four all that interesting (the key might be having fun with how goofy these dorks are, rather than going all srs bsns with it), but you put Jordan and Teller in a move where they get zany powers and chances are pretty high that I will consider watching it to be a very productive use of my valuable time.
What do you think about this trailer? AND WILL SOMEONE PLEASE ASK MICHAEL CHIKLIS WHAT HE THINGS

Why do they keep doing origin stories? Everyone who will see this movie already knows who the Fantastic Four are. No one is going in blind.
I used to like this comic as a kid – I hope they do it right this time.
Yeah, let’s just get to fighting mole men already. Also, they should have set this in the sixties, like First Class.
