It’s probably just the majesty of the Fassbender, but this simply made me want a Magneto movie. Sorta like how “The Runaways” made me wish it was “Joan Jett Is Fuckawesome: The Movie” instead.
Magneto: The Joan Jett of the X-Men.
Excited!
LADYBONER
I thought Rogue was the Joan Jett of the X-Men. Magneto’s just the creepy older producer dude with the industry connections.
It doesn’t look horrible, I’ll probably see it. Still. The last one was horrible.
If you want a period superhero flick, I think you’re looking for the upcoming Captain America. I mean, it’s got the 1940s and Nazis built in, right?
Fassboner
It’s kind of become a Underworld-type franchise with more money behind it.
I have forgotten to bring my headphones to work for a SECOND TIME today. Not only do I have to listen to people gabbling all day, but I am missing out on this trailer and it’s VERY UPSETTING.
I feel your pain, Reymont. I keep a cheap pair of backup headphones at work for that very reason (the gabbing, not this trailer).
Goddamn it. I was prepared to hate this preview and now I know I’m going to go see the movie. Despite deliberately trying to not get my expectations up, I’m going to walk away disappointed.
I would like to see nicer superhero costumes in my movies. It’s not quite clear, but it looks like they’re going with some variant of the classic yellow/blue outfits. This pleases me.
