Chris Pratt is great in Parks & Rec and Zero Dark Thirty, but let us not forget where so very many of us first met himโ€”as Winchester “Che” Cook, the young, sweet-hearted trustafarian of The O.C. Cheโ€”who at first was kind of threat to the whole Seth/Summer thing, but then got really into Seth, before ultimately finding true happiness, as he deservedโ€”is and always will be one of the best, and one of the most tragically overlooked, characters on one of the best, and one of the most tragically overlooked, television sagas of our time. My least favorite person in the world, YouTube user “hausstudioks,” has stupidly decided not to allow embedding on this amazing Che-centric video, but I strongly urge you to watch it immediately.

Anyway, after beating out a whole lot of other contenders, Pratt just got cast as the lead in Marvel’s big 2014 film, Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel’s trying to make Guardians into the next Avengersโ€”which means Pratt’s face is soon going to be everywhere, from giant IMAX screens to crappy candy wrappers. Every time I see one, I will think of Che.

  1. Man, between him and Emily VanCamp, Everwood is really taking over Marvel this week. But what about Treat Williams? WHAT ABOUT TREAT WILLIAMS.

Also, I thought for a moment that this blog was going to be about how Adam brody is now dating Leighton Meester and how that is sad for Rachel Bilson, who is presumably living in a ditch.
